It's ready now – well, almost. Our newest project – a private sauna for our guests booking the Black House and the Hytten guesthouse.

There's only a little bit of painting left and perhaps some lamps to be put in place. And then there's that final touch... the little extra bit that's always the hardest to get right. This time, we've opted for an electric heater in the sauna. It simply became a bit too much wood management on the property.

How does one actually furnish a sauna to make it extra cosy? Is there a kind soul out there who wants to share some ideas? Right now, both of us are suffering from a complete lack of inspiration.

Perhaps it's due to the storm Dave, which made us lose focus completely. Everything else had to be put aside while we cleared trees and replaced roof tiles. Or perhaps it's simply that we need new inspiration.

Done and done! A stay at Ästad Vingård has been booked – in their finest room, complete with its own sauna. Now we'll be inspired, that's for sure. And we'll take the opportunity to treat ourselves to a lovely little mini-break into the bargain.
